Julia De Boos is a FACEM who works part time at North West Hospital and Health Service (Mount Isa ED) and at the Gold Coast University Hospital as a Forensic Medical Officer. 

She has been seeing sexual assault victims since doing a registrar term at the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine in 2012.  She is the regional forensic coordinator for North West Queensland, which involves training, supervising and supporting a small team to deliver sexual assault services across an area the size of Victoria.  She provides the expert opinions for the courts and does most of the court appearances for the region, for all forms of assault.  

Her areas of particular interest are domestic abuse, strangulation and grievous bodily harm.
